American Friends of the Royal Society (AFRS)
The American Friends of the Royal Society is a US not-for-profit organisation that provides support to the Royal Society in the UK and promotes its work.
Currently, the Royal Society has over 290 Fellows and Foreign Members based in the United States, many of whom have made important contributions in the fields of the sciences. The friendship and generosity of US-based supporters play a vital role in assisting the Royal Society’s mission to recognise, promote, and support excellence in science and to encourage the development and use of science for the benefit of humanity.
The American Friends of the Royal Society is a 501(c)(3) charity registered in the State of Delaware that is independent from the Royal Society. The AFRS taxpayer ID number is 31-1708031.
