Lates: Expanding the frontiers of human performance - science, sport and psychology

This event is part of the Royal Society's Summer Science Exhibition 2024.

Join researchers from the University of Bath's CAMERA (Centre for the Analysis of Motion, Entertainment Research and Applications) for hands-on demonstrations of their sports performance, biomechanics, and Human-Computer Interaction research. 

Explore markerless motion capture research, demonstrating in real-time how the system works to improve Olympic athlete performance and how it can be used in clinical settings for rehabilitation. 

The interactive demonstrations highlight how monitoring emotional and physiological responses enhances motivation and aids in injury prevention. Explore interactive visualizations of muscle and joint contributions, with feedback on your physiological responses to help you push your limits.

This drop-in activity will be held in the Conference Room on Tuesday 2 July 2024, 6pm — 10pm.

• Due to limited capacity, there may be times when queuing is necessary for a short period. Please note that we operate on a first-come, first-served basis
